FAQ

What is the criteria of putting up my project on the platform?

Anyone can put up their project on the platform of OnlyDust as long as it is open-source and is looking for external contributors.

If you have budget or grants that you would like to reward contributors with, please reach out to us on Telegram: @blumebee.

If your project doesn't have budget or grants, we advise you to label your issues "non-rewarded" so that contributors are aware.

To put your project up, simply follow the steps here.

I have a project idea but how do I know it's a good one?

All open-source projects are good to have!

That said, we highly recommend that you have a look at the ecosystem you are interested in building on. Often times, ecosystems will let you know what type of scope they are looking for.

With that in mind, also think about your end-user and the market. Is it useful? Is it innovative?

How can I have more visibility for my project?

If you are looking to attracting more contributors to your repo, we suggest the following things:

1 - Joining our official Telegram group over here, introduce yourselves and the project that you have.
2 - Tweet your project and tag us!
3 - Ask to participate in a future "ODHack". These events take place on a monthly basis where participating projects list issues for contributors to tackle, during a 10 day open-source week. It is a great way to gain external contributors, work with strong devs, and advance their projects. For more information you can contact @Blumebee on Telegram.

Can OnlyDust provide me with grants for my project?

OnlyDust does not provide grants for projects.

That said, we work closely with ecosystems who provide grants for projects that are building in their ecosystem.

If you would like more information on that, you can reach out to @blumebee on Telegram.
